Our Story
At the Paramount Diner, we believe a great meal is about more than what’s on the plate—it’s about how you feel when you walk through the door.
Owned and lovingly run by Linda and Mike Smith, the Paramount is a true community diner where connections run deep and everyone is treated like family. After decades of careers in healthcare, public service, and entrepreneurship, Linda and Mike choose to spend their retirement doing what they love most: bringing people together. In 2023, they proudly opened the doors of the Paramount Diner, continuing a beloved local tradition that has been part of Manasquan since 1931.
Mike grew up coming to the diner nearly every morning for over 40 years, and when the opportunity arose to carry it forward, the decision was easy. Together, Linda and Mike infused the Paramount with the same warmth, teamwork, and generosity that have guided their lives and family for decades.
Everything at the Paramount is prepared with care—from scratch-made favorites and seasonal specials featuring fresh, local ingredients, to the friendly faces behind the counter who know your name and your order. Our staff is family too, supported with respect, opportunity, and a shared commitment to making every guest feel welcome.
Community is at the heart of what we do. From birthday ice cream sundaes and Sunday church gatherings to free Thanksgiving breakfasts and local events, the Paramount is a place where neighbors connect, celebrations happen, and kindness is always on the menu.
